Meeting new people should be exciting, not stressful. UANI is built with safety at its core—here's what we provide and how you can stay safe.
How UANI Keeps You Safe
UANI has built-in safety features designed specifically for real-world dating:
- Mandatory ID Verification: Every user completes 3-step verification (phone, government ID, and selfie biometric match) before they can browse, like, or chat.
- Photo Verification: Every profile photo is verified against the user's selfie using facial recognition. No catfishing—what you see is what you get.
- Safety Check-Ins: Schedule a check-in before your date. After your meetup, we'll send a friendly "Are you safe?" notification.
- Emergency Contacts: Add up to 3 trusted contacts who can be notified with one tap if you need help.
- In-App Video Calling: Video chat before meeting in person without sharing your phone number.
- No Background Tracking: You're only visible when you choose to check in—and you're automatically checked out when you leave.
- Visibility Controls: Go public, private, or incognito depending on your comfort level.
Report Suspicious Behavior
If someone violates our Community Guidelines, makes you feel unsafe, or exhibits suspicious behavior, please report them immediately.
To report a user:
- Go to their profile and tap the three-dot menu
- Select "Report User"
- Choose the reason for reporting and provide details
We review all reports promptly and take appropriate action, which may include warning, suspension, or permanent banning of users who violate our policies.
